Cindy's Grove: Reinventing Pritzker Park

Pritzker Park leaves much to be desired. How might we add life and reintroduce it to the city?

— Client
Chicago Cultural Stadium
— Focus
Project
— Challenge

We were challenged to reimagine Pritzker Park's role as a destination in the Loop.

— Outcome

GoArchitect designed a sculpture and park that honors Cindy Pritzker.

— Impact

We hope this design sparks dialogue about bold new ways to elevate Chicago’s cultural standing.

Cindy’s Grove is a sanctuary for stories — a living tribute to Cindy Pritzker, whose vision and generosity helped generations of Chicagoans discover the power of reading.

At its heart stands a gleaming silver semicolon, a symbol that the story never truly ends — it continues with each of us. Beneath the canopy of trees and the rhythm of city life, the Grove offers space to pause, read, and reflect.

Here, words and nature intertwine. The paths curve like sentences, the trees rise like paragraphs, and every visitor becomes part of a story still being written. Amid the hum of downtown Chicago, Cindy’s Grove reminds us that there is always another chapter to turn, and always more to be imagined.
